FAWS

The schools PTA, known as FAWS – ’Friends of Akeley Wood School’ are a group of parents who have children at one or more of the schools three sites. The aim of the Association is to support and enhance Akeley’s friendly school community not only by hosting occasional fundraising events but more importantly through creating a fun and social environment for parents to come together and meet.

Akeley Wood Junior School Christmas Fayre 2011

The Christmas Fayre, held on Saturday 19^th November was a huge success. Sincere thanks to all of the parents, pupils, grandparents and staff who helped to make the day run so smoothly. Thanks also to the Akeley Wood Junior School Drama Club, who performed a rendition of ‘A Christmas Carol’, The Akeley Wood Junior School Choir and Akeley Wood Senior School Choir, who all performed to an extremely high standard on the day. A fantastic day had by all, which was not only fun, but also helped us to raise £2000.00.
