Akeley Wood School celebrates excellent GCSE results

Pupils at Akeley Wood Independent School in Buckinghamshire received their GCSE results today.  Results were excellent with 97% of pupils receiving at least 5 A* to C grades, this represents a 1% increase from last year.

Of all the pupils who took GCSEs, 23% got all A* to B grades.  A very impressive 8% of pupils received all A* to A grades.

Amongst the individual achievements were Ben McClatchie and Jake Williams who both got 8 A* grades and 2 A grades

Dr Jeremy Grundy, Headmaster of Akeley Wood School, commented:

'Once again, the pupils of Akeley Wood have done themselves proud; I am delighted with their achievements. Statistics aside, when one looks at individual pupils and their results, it is impossible not to be impressed by the value-added from which they have each benefited. Well done to one and all.'
