In assembly this week, Mrs Exarheas talked about bullying. First of all, two pupils performed a short play to show that unkind comments can put pupils off speaking out in class. We talked about the different types of bullying and what the effects on the victim are. After that, we watched a video which showed that the bully does not always know that they are being a bully. This helped us to think about our own actions towards others. Last but not least, four volunteers came up and moved across the space, depending on if they believed the statements about bullying were true or false. We learned what to do if we notice that anyone is upset and we considered that we all need to work together to beat bullying.
