Year 11 Silver Assessment
Edale 2017 5th – 7th May
With high pressure dominating the land, the White Peaks were calm and sunny for the Year 11 Silver Assessment. Sixteen intrepid students planned, trained and executed a safe and well navigated three-day expedition across some of Derbyshire’s hardest terrain.
Morley Spinks and his team tore holes in the moors as they set a world record pace each of the days. The slow but steady pace of George McGuiness and his team showed a more relaxed approach, enjoying the scenery with some great navigation.
Finally, all teams arrived safely and Lucy Plumbridge and Tilly Harris’s group took the stance ‘better late than never’ seeing more of the countryside than they had planned to!!
All teams must be commended for their perfect behaviour, team work and aptitude on and off camp.
Well done team: see you at the DofE Ceremony on the 26th May
