Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh Award 2016 has seen a record number of participants pass their expedition through from Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Silver Award participants braved sub zero temperatures in May to complete their three day assessment in Edale in the Peak District. Staying in the Peak District and with temperatures a little more favorable, the Bronze Award participants took their assessment in the region of Hartington, completing a two day 12 km walk through some challenging countryside.
This week will see the new recruits for the training weekend at Akeley Wood Senior site. We hope all 54 participants enjoy their experience and learn many valuable new skills to take them through to Gold.
Well done to all and good luck for the trainees.
