Immersed in the Secret of code at Bletchley Park
Maths History and More!
Year 7 students recently visited Bletchley Park where they attended a code breaking workshop, using different coding methods. The mission was to find the name of a spy who worked at Bletchley Park during the Second World War. Students worked in small groups to attempt to break the code. After some excellent code cracking moves the code was broken, revealing the name of the spy ‘John Cairncross’
Students also got to see a genuine enigma machine, learning about its use in the Second World War. With plenty of time to tour the whole park and its exciting exhibits, the day was extremely informative and enjoyable all for staff and pupils.
