Meet our AW6 Young Enterprise Group: Bycell Hampers

Young enterprise students standing on steps

At the beginning of this academic year, fifteen of our Year 12 students set out to create their very own business through the Young Enterprise initiative. Supported by our dedicated Sixth Form Careers Advisor, Mark lambert, they have not only done just that, but have proceeded to create a sell-out product line.

The company, Bycell Hampers, produce luxury hampers full of a selection of locally sourced items. Their initial seasonal hamper was received amazingly well and has subsequently sold out, but don’t worry, their next batch of hampers are just around the corner!

We caught up with Marketing Director of Bycell Hampers, AW6 student Olivia West, who told us a little more about how they got started and some of their next product ideas.

“We are a group of fifteen year twelve students involved in a project called Young Enterprise. Young Enterprise is a national competition where a group school students make their own business from scratch. Our product that we are selling are Hampers, especially seasonal ones at the moment. This hamper includes a selection of Christmas goodies. We are selling these bespoke festive hampers at £40 for one or £70 for two. Our group has people with varying skills which means as a collective we have ensured that our products are the best we can get, for example we include a chutney from a local independent business. Upcoming ideas we are going to try and pursue are an Introduction to Secondary School book, as well as making more hampers for other seasonal occasions. Thank you from our whole team for the support we have already had.”

We can’t wait to see what the group come up with next; why not join us in following them on InstagramTwitter and Facebook. To place an order, you can either email them at bycellhampers@gmail.com or message them directly via social media.
