Patterns and Dots

Patterns and Dots
The braille short course has started Friday lunchtimes at Tile House Mansion for Years 7 and 8. A 6-week course, where students learn Grade 1 sight braille. We have discovered how many different combinations of dots you can make from a 2 by 3 array. We are now learning the formation of the alphabet, digits and punctuation in Braille. By the end of our first session students could write their name and read messages in Braille. Our aim is to memorise the letters and be able to do this without our Braille reference sheet.
Places are limited to 10 students, our present course is full, however pupils can sign up in M1.7 for the next course.
