Students celebrate best ever A Level results
Sixth Form students from Akeley Wood School are celebrating another year of excellent A Level results with 48% of grades at A*/B and 81% at A*/C grade. Akeley is a non-selective school and our focus is on achieving the very best results each student is capable of. This is why our ‘Value Added’, that’s the achievement over and above students’ expected outcome, is so important to us. This year our VA was up by a further quarter of a grade.

I am very proud to be the Principal of this great school. The staff are dedicated professionals who strive for excellence. I know that they are also proudly celebrating today. We are delighted to hear that so many students have secured places at their first-choice universities, to read competitive subjects such as Economics, History and Engineering. We wish them every success in their continued studies and future careers.”
Akeley Wood School students have gained places to study at their first-choice universities including, Kings College, Loughborough, Nottingham, Liverpool, Lancaster and Cardiff.
