Student led Masterclass
Year 12 Historian presents to Year 9 Students
This term Will Harris, a Year 12 historian, visited a Year 9 lesson to run a ‘masterclass’ on Lenin and the October Revolution.
Will has been studying this topic for his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and has completed a significant amount of research and wider reading, through which he has amassed a wealth of knowledge on his specialist topic.
For Will, the masterclass was an opportunity to gain the clarity of having to explain these complicated events to a GCSE class. For Year 9 it was a wonderful opportunity to meet an accomplished A Level Historian which will hopefully raise their aspirations for their current work, and possibly inspire a new batch of budding A Level Historians.
