On Monday 21 November, Mrs.Davidson and some of our American children hosted a Thanksgiving Assembly, sharing about this American holiday, which is celebrated typically on the fourth Thursday in November. The students discussed the purpose of the Thanksgiving holiday recognising that it commemorates the first meal the Pilgrims and Native Americans shared in the New Land together. A typical Thanksgiving meal consists of Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, casseroles, and a variety of dessert pies. Our team of staff, from Chartwells catering, in the kitchen complimented our assembly by serving a very tasty Thanksgiving meal for lunch.
Special thanks to the Kitchen staff, Shane Davidson, Mason Titchenell, Ana-Sofia Bowers, Chloe Davidson, Lainey Frahm, Landon Frahm, Michaela Heim, Norah Heim, Sam Stuckey, Matthew Wang, Tomas Bowers, Ryan Arsenault and Alyssa Arsenault for particpating and sharing part of their culture with our school.Mrs Davison
