The votes are in!

EU Referendum Results
As Politics Subject Ambassadors for Akeley Wood School we were very impressed by the tremendous effort shown by our pupils and students on all three sites for our Mock EU Referendum. We visited Tile House Mansion last week and assisted a Year 8 debate. We recruited a Year 10 team for both campaign sides at Akeley Wood House who this week rallied the other students during morning registrations. On the voting day we visited Akeley Wood Junior School pupils who even had their own private voting booths set up by Mrs Bird. We helped them to count up their results. Even some Year One and Two students turned up at the Polling Station to demand their democratic right to vote! On the whole the turnout matched the national turnout but the outcome was resolutely ‘Remain’-
