Trundling Along!

Distance and Time

During Maths, we have been measuring the average walking and hopping speed of children in the school. We did this by using a trundle wheel, to measure the distance and a stopwatch to time how long it took to reach the end of the corridor. Mrs Smith asked us to start at the back door and walk or hop to the end. Each student was timed over the distance, these times were recorded, then added up and divided by the total number of students taking part. We calculated our speed and we had great fun.
