Who Stole All the Tarts!
Alice in Wonderland comes alive at Tile House Mansion
On Tuesday 20th June, pupils at Tile House Mansion were blessed with beautiful weather for their Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Year 7 pupils had studied Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland in preparation for their examination, helping them to develop understanding of 19th Century fiction. The children enjoyed various activities, including orienteering, croquet, toasting marshmallows, archery, chalk drawing, etching and cyanotype printing. Some even managed to cook the potatoes grown in our very own garden over a camp fire! There were some fabulous costumes to see, with Joseph Evans providing a deserving winner for the best dressed prize! Thanks must go to the catering team, who served a delicious tea party style lunch, and to all staff and pupils who helped to make the event such a success.
