Year 9 Historians – VE Celebrations
These past few weeks in History our Year 9 Historians have been busy researching how lives were changed during World War Two. We culminated the learning of this topic with a VE Day Celebration lesson. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their own character for the party and to taste some food and drink relevant to that period. In particular, I was impressed by Daija Foster who came as a nurse who had been involved in the Pearl Harbour attack in 1941. Thanks to all those who put in an incredible amount of effort.
