A-Level Results

Once students leave us at the end of Year 13, we want to ensure that they are ready for their first job, university or apprenticeship interview and have the confidence and strength of character needed, as well as an excellent set of results, to stand them in good stead for their next adventure beyond school.

Our all-encompassing Future Ready programme and A-Level curriculum does just that, as students continue to achieve more than they ever thought possible. View the latest A-Level results, university destinations and hear from our Director of Sixth Form on the success of our latest cohort below.

Celebrating excellence

AW6 students have celebrated excellent A-Level results again this year – after an unusual period full of uncertainty for this particular year group, holding their results certificates today has been a huge relief.

This cohort have shown huge resilience over the course of the pandemic and during their examination years, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.

With a 100% pass rate and a quarter of students attaining an A and above, AW6 students are extremely excited to be heading off to first choice institutions across the country, including many Russell Group universities.

A note from the Director of Sixth Form.

"I would like to wish our Year 13 students a huge congratulations for the time, effort and commitment shown by all of you over the last two years – it has been truly admirable and you can all be very proud. The variation of courses and disciplines that our students are going on to study demonstrates the importance we place on helping young people to hone their unique skill sets and to pursue their passions, no matter where they may lie. At AW6, we’re really proud of the transferable skills that all of our students leave us with, enabling them to go on to have successful futures in their chosen career pathways."

Award winning

2022 Award

"A £1m undertaking, the new Sixth Form AW6 site opened in Sept 21 at Tile House Mansion, a grand Victorian estate roughly 15 minutes from the Senior School. With a palpable campus-like feel (no uniforms and purely 17-18 year olds) it offers something very different to most day school Sixth Forms in the area. No surprise that Akeley Wood was judged Highly Commended in our Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Awards 2022 in the ‘Special Sixth Form’ category."
