Akeley Wood School is a vibrant, co-educational day school for children aged 1 to 18, set across three beautiful campuses in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
Each site is an inspirational learning environment for our students at different stages, from early curiosity to senior academic readiness and sixth form independence.

5 A level Design Technology and Business Studies students to Ercol furniture company in Princes Risborough. The students were given a guided tour of the large showroom and factory. The learning experience was second to none and the students were also involved in a Q&A session with a designer too.

At Akeley Wood our small Reception classes ensure every child is known, supported and encouraged from day one.

Last week was also a fantastic one for Senior School athletics, with students representing Akeley Wood at both the Bucks Schools’ Championships and the National Athletics Finals.
Across track and field events, our athletes delivered outstanding performances, securing numerous podium finishes, personal bests and national-level placings. From sprinting and hurdles to long jump, javelin, discus and distance running, students demonstrated exceptional determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout.
A special congratulations to those who qualified for the National Athletics Finals at Alexander Stadium, competing against some of the best young athletes in the country and representing both the school and North London with pride.
We are incredibly proud of all our athletes and everything they achieved. Now, we look forward to another exciting day of competition at Senior School Sports Day next Monday! 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏅

What a fantastic Junior School Sports Day we had last week! 🏅
From exciting running races and hurdles to energetic tug of war contests and a variety of other events, our pupils showed great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination throughout the day.
It was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on and embracing the spirit of healthy competition. A huge well done to all of our pupils for their fantastic efforts and to our staff and families for helping make the day such a success!

Our Senior School Budapest Cultural Trip - an unforgettable experience!
Students immersed themselves in the rich culture and history of this beautiful city, taking in its stunning sights and landmarks while sampling local delicacies, including traditional goulash and chimney cakes. Along the way, they enjoyed spending time with friends, making new connections, and developing their independence through a range of exciting experiences.
Most importantly, every student represented Akeley Wood School brilliantly, demonstrating our core values of kindness, respect, and community throughout the trip. We are incredibly proud of how they embraced new cultures, supported one another and made the most of every opportunity.

Outstanding success in the British Biology Olympiad!
Congratulations to our Year 13 students who achieved fantastic results in this prestigious national competition, which saw 18,800 students from 1,132 schools take part:

With only the top 5% of participants receiving a Gold Award, Jacob`s achievement places him among the highest-performing biology students in the country. We are incredibly proud of all three students for their hard work, dedication and passion for Biology.
