This is the perfect opportunity for prospective parents to explore our nurturing nursery environment and experience the joy of outdoor learning in our beautiful Forest School.

Welcome Events for New Joiners
We want every new student to feel confident and excited about joining Akeley Wood. Our summer term events are designed to help students and families acclimate, connect with their peers and teachers, and experience life at Akeley before the new school year begins.
From Move Up Day, where students spend time with their new cohort and teachers, to our Year 6 to 7 Transition Disco, which offers a fun and informal way to make new friends, these events are tailored to ease the transition. Families can also attend our Year 6 Joiners Information Evening to hear from key staff and get answers to any final questions.
And of course, there’s Woodfest—our signature summer celebration bringing the whole school community together with live music, performances and activities, giving new joiners a taste of the vibrant Akeley spirit!
