Once students leave us at the end of Year 13, we want to ensure that they are ready for their first job, university or apprenticeship interview and have the confidence and strength of character needed, as well as an excellent set of results, to stand them in good stead for their next adventure beyond school.
Our all-encompassing Future Ready programme and A-Level curriculum does just that, as students continue to achieve more than they ever thought possible. View the latest A-Level results and university destinations.

A-Level Results
We are incredibly proud of all our AW6 graduates who have worked tirelessly to achieve tremendous results in their A Levels this year. Each student’s journey at Akeley Wood has been unique, and their success stories are a testament to their dedication, talents and the supportive, values-led environment we strive to create.
Our students excelled across a wide range of subjects, with standout performances in Music and Music Technology, where every grade was at the top level, and in Biology, Psychology, English Literature, Geography and Modern Foreign Languages, all achieving 100% of grades at C or above.
Student Highlights
One highlight from this year is Ella, whose parents describe how Akeley transformed her confidence, gave her clarity about her goals, and provided countless opportunities for personal growth. She now heads to Bournemouth University to study Marketing with PR Studies — following in the footsteps of her sister, an Akeley alumna who recently graduated with a First and a place on the Dean’s List in Forensic Science.
Other students are taking equally exciting routes, from beginning a world-class hospitality degree in Montreux, Switzerland, to awaiting confirmation of sought-after degree apprenticeships in policing and fine furniture making.
Next destinations.
This year’s leavers are heading to an inspiring variety of destinations, including top universities, competitive apprenticeships and exciting entrepreneurial ventures. From Sociology at Durham University to Computer Science at the University of Birmingham, from Music at Royal Holloway to Psychology at Durham, their paths are as individual as they are — and we couldn’t be prouder.

Award Winning
2022 Award
"A £1m undertaking, the new Sixth Form AW6 site opened in Sept 21 at Tile House Mansion, a grand Victorian estate roughly 15 minutes from the Senior School. With a palpable campus-like feel (no uniforms and purely 17-18 year olds) it offers something very different to most day school Sixth Forms in the area. No surprise that Akeley Wood was judged Highly Commended in our Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Awards 2022 in the ‘Special Sixth Form’ category."
