Akeley Wood School is a vibrant, co-educational day school for children aged 1 to 18, set across three beautiful campuses in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
Each site is an inspirational learning environment for our students at different stages, from early curiosity to senior academic readiness and sixth form independence.

💛 On #GlobalBeWellDay we joined over 100,000 students across the world to focus on connecting – with ourselves and with others.
At Akeley, we chose to connect with a smile 😀. From team skills with @SaintsRugby to classroom inspiration with @MKDonsFC, our Junior School pupils learnt the power of positivity in sport and in life. The whole school came together to share a giant smile, captured by drone, while our Senior School filled the week with laughter, funny faces and shared moments of joy.

At Akeley Wood School, clubs and enrichment are more than extras — they’re an essential part of our students’ journey. Every Friday afternoon, our Senior School comes alive with the Enriched Curriculum. Each September, our new Year 7s head to Bude for a week of adventure — a much-loved Akeley tradition that helps them settle into Senior School life.
We heard today from our Head of Year 7 and Transition, who shared how the students have been making the most of the sunshine, trying new activities from surfing and kayaking to mountain boarding and caving. The days may be tiring, but the smiles are endless.
It’s a fantastic way for students to bond, grow in confidence and feel truly part of the Akeley community. We look forward to welcoming them home on Friday, full of stories and memories to last a lifetime.
