At Akeley Wood Nursery we accept all children whose individual needs we feel we will be able to cater for and will thrive in the nurturing preschool environment we offer. We are registered to receive Nursery Grant Funding for all children aged three to four years. We are also happy to accept all childcare voucher schemes for working parents with children under five, as well as vouchers for out-of-hours care and holiday clubs. Included in the application process is the opportunity to have two ‘settling in’ days to ensure your child is happy and thriving in our care.
Entry into our Nursery at any stage is highly competitive. At present, we only have very limited availability in our Pre-School Butterflies Room (aged 3+) for those seeking immediate entry, prior to starting with us in our Reception class in September 2022. Priority for places is given to those wishing to continue with us throughout the school.
We are currently at full capacity in our Ladybirds Room (aged 12 months to 2 years) and our Caterpillars Room (aged 2+ to 3+) until September 2022.
We are taking registrations for our waiting list for provision commencing September 2022. Our next Open Morning for parents wishing to tour the Nursery for September 2022 entry and beyond is on Friday 14th January. To book a place at this event, please email Katie Thomas, our Junior School Registrar via email@example.com with Nursery Open Morning in the subject title. Mrs Thomas will then send out some information about the Nursery and add you to the guest list. We look forward to welcoming you to this event.
