Mealtimes offer a well-earned break in the day; a social occasion when children and adults eat together, and a chance to refuel. We offer wholesome and nutritionally balanced meals with a wide choice of dishes, including two hot meals, a vegetarian option, a salad bar, jacket potatoes, homemade breads and a variety of puddings and fresh fruit daily.
The recipes are meticulously planned with controlled fat, salt and sugar content to ensure that children benefit from a healthy diet.

Akeley Wood works with Lodestone House to supply delicious lunches to our pupils.
Lodestone House prepare our school meals on site each day. With Catering Managers in place on all three of our school sites, Lodestone House works tirelessly to support the personal and academic growth of every pupil by providing nourishment that fuels focus, wellbeing, and self-belief. They achieve this by connecting pupils to fresh and seasonal ingredients, lovingly prepared by our talented chefs. They aim to inspire and educate pupils, and that goes further than the food on the plate.
They are happy to meet with parents to discuss any special dietary requirements your child may have.

We are proud that Akeley Wood Schools have been awarded the Bronze Food For Life Award. In Partnership with The Soil Association, the Food For Life accreditation is awarded to organisations that meet national food and nutrition standards and are serving healthy and sustainable foods.
