GCSE Results Soar at Akeley Wood School

Once again, Akeley Wood School pupils have done themselves proud!  Following on from the outstanding A Level results released last week, the school proudly announces that the GCSE results have also been excellent.

Of all of the pupils who took GCSEs this year, 33% received A* or A grades (an increase of 25% on last year’s results) and 57% achieved  A* to B grades (increasing on last year’s results by 34%).

The Headmaster, Dr Grundy, comments, “We are absolutely thrilled that our pupils have performed so well in their examinations. Their results are the culmination of a great deal of hard work by both pupils and teachers alike. It is incredibly gratifying when pupils’ efforts are so well rewarded.”
